Job Summary
The IT Support & Hardware Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer hardware, software, networks, and IT systems to ensure smooth business operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide technical support to employees through phone, email, and in-person assistance.
- Perform system upgrades, hardware replacements, and preventive maintenance.
- Configure and troubleshoot operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Maintain IT inventory and documentation of hardware and software assets.
- Ensure data backup, security, and antivirus protection.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting tools.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
- Certifications such as A+, N+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience: Fresher to 3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or hardware maintenance.
